“Ipaglaban Mo” The Movie

In order to reach more people and have a wider base, ABS-CBN through its sister company, the Star Cinema decided to produce two Ipaglaban Mo movies which were adapted from cases reported in Atty. Sison’s column.

Directing the movies were well know film makers like Marilou Diaz Abaya, Nick Lizaso, Rolando Quinto and Carlitos Siguion-Reyna.

Ikaw at ang Batas

“Ikaw at ang Batas” was a daily 5-minute legal vignette shown during the 5pm Balita in IBC 13. This was a shortened version of the weekly program “Kapag Nasa Katwiran…Ipaglaban Mo”.

Both the “Ipaglaban Mo” and “Ikaw at ang Batas” later transferred to Channel 9 until it was station produced by ABS-CBN Channel 2 in the early ‘90s.

Since then “Ipaglaban Mo” was aired every Sunday while “Ikaw at ang Batas” was aired daily Monday to Friday as part of “Hoy Gising”, another show hosted by Ted Failon and Korina Sanchez.
